H.E. Armstrong Mechanical Ltd. was started in 1958 by H. Ellsworth Armstrong, a man willing to do an honest days work for an honest days pay. He hired himself out as a plumber with his wife as a partner looking after the telephone and the books. In the 1970's their twin sons, Watson and Warren, joined the company.
Mechanical contracting, which entails plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning seemed a natural progession as the business grew and management and staff's knowledge and expertise increased. In 1980, after a number of years of steady growth, the business was incorporated as a limited company bringing the name H.E. Armstrong Mechanical Ltd. into being.
The company celebrated its 50th anniversary in September 2008.
